Cain won a 4-mile race in NYC's Central Park today. Time of 21:50 was not particularly fast, but at least she's racing again.

As Let's Run says---"1st completed race in 918 days".
    Good.

    Not so good---
Who did she beat? Was Molly Huddle or Mary Keitany there?
Or was 2nd place Plain Jane Smith?

Did she say when her 1st TRACK race will be??

Does she plan a SERIOUS return to the TRACK??

    Also good---
She apparently just missed the Course Record!

She's now 23 years and 10 days old!!

Seriously? This is what you take from her running. As I stated many years ago. Give the girl now woman a break. Let her run and find her joy. If she steps up to the elite level great, if not, also great. Who really cares who was in the race. Go MC and find your happiness.

Why weren't they there? Have they stopped competing? With Mary Cain in the field they should have turned up shouldn't they?

I remain a huge fan of Mary!
That's why I keep urging her to tell us when she'll be back on the track again!!
It's great she ran that NY road race, but it really doesn't tell you much!

No, I PRAY for her return to elite track racing!
But it would be nice to hear at least an estimate of the date she'll race again---on the track!
(Unless, that is, she becomes a road race specialist!!)

BTW, I just saw a GREAT video about her---in which she talks the whiole time about her injury cycle and recovery!

IIt was filmed during her time at Mammoth Lakes with the Kastor group!!

    Fabulous video!!

So please don't think I'm now her enemy!1
I just want to know when we can see her in a track race again!!

    Go, Mary!!
    LOL
