It's going to be interesting to see who ultimately triumphs between these two at Doha and beyond. Very impressed with Kerley's comeback and 43.64 win at USATF but I think Norman has greater speed (19.70) and he has time now (staying healthy is key) to get his endurance and strength back from recent niggles that have kept him from consistent workouts. So I predict his win at Doha. And he might even get a season's and personal best doing it. Prediction, 43.27.

I would, too, favor Norman and largely due to his 200m PR this year but also his earlier season 400m PR. I was also impressed by Kerley's performance, he went out aggressively for the win and it worked breaking his two year old PR.

What also impressed me about Kerley was, when questioned, that he wanted to immediately shift the spotlight off his victory and talk about the potential 4x4.

I really hope this rivalry can last a few years. We need this in the sport. It would be even better if WVN is at full speed next year. WR, baby!

CT, Re: the 4x4 men's relay....I hope the 400H Champ gets serious consideration for a spot.

I'm with you-absolutely hope that is the case. I have to believe if he's not in the top three flat U.S. 400m guys (of course on time right now he's not (6th) but that's mostly due to how infrequently he runs the event especially outdoors) he's certainly among the top four.

So far Kerley's form outside the US has seemed pretty poor to me.

I think Norman beats Kerley nine out of 10 times, but I, too, was encouraged to see Kerley roar back into gold medal contention.
