This makes sense to be because it is basically the beach volleyball version of basketball. As long as it is played outside on pavement with a half court, I'm cool with it.

I'd bet short money it's on the IOC, not NBC

I wouldn't count out South Africa

I don't understand why so many of you fuddie-duddies are so upset with a mixed 4x4. I think it will likely be one of the viewer highlights

I agree. It is clear that the IOC wants a bigger, better version of the X games (both winter and summer) than they want to continue with the current format of the OG's. Obvious effort to bring the millenials and future gens into the mix. Right now, most gens after the boomers really don't give a crap about the OG's.

With the added events, the total athlete participation is supposed to be reduced. So I assume there are sports being eliminated.

I can absolutely guarantee that my coworkers will focus on this event.

WTF. Why don't they go the full mile and have a beer mile? Men's beer mile, women's beer mile, and mixed beer mile relay. THAT would be the highlight of the Olympic Games.

Tougher standards would be an obvious way to do this, and it would not diminish the quality of the competition. They don't need as many participants in some of the events as they currently have.

I dont have a problem with the concept, but think a mixed 4x1 would be more competitive across the board(and therefore interesting)
There are no strings on me
