    Today he ran 14.39 (+0.6), 45.74 and 21.18 (+2.1) and was named the class 5A most outstanding athlete at the state championships.

    He is a special talent and just a sophomore! Love watching him run.

    Not to be argumentative, well maybe a little bit, but how do not give Duplantis a piece of that award when he breaks a U20 World Record?

    I'm guessing he will give up the short hurdles when he gets to college. 14.mid is certainly a pretty good high school time but there are guys running 13.mid over 42 inches in the NCAA. Wow on the 400 especially though, is he a junior now? Any word on where he will go to school? He certainly could stay home and do well at LSU as a 400 guy.

    He's a sophomore, which means he still has another 18 months to make up his mind, though his high school coach is an LSU alumnus. However, right now he's still pursuing his football dream which means he goes back to spring practice on Monday.
