I think it's self-evident to most folks on this board that comparing the performance of a 15-year-old boy to that of a 17-year-old boy is ridiculous since the improvement/maturity curve for teenage boys is usually very steep. If age is irrelevant, why not just compare all these kids to Wade Van Niekerk and Usain Bolt?

Grade is irrelevant IMO, it's age that matters. We'll know more at the end of the summer. Then we can compare Burrell's age 15 times to those of others before him, including Cooper. Anyone who was paying attention knows that I was on this raving about Cooper after the AAU Junior Olympics last year, so he deserves all the praise he gets as far as I'm concerned.

Cooper will be just past his 19th birthday (by 2 months?) when he graduates.
There have been several HS'ers (elites) who were much further into their 19's when they graduated!
    (Matthew Maton, for one?)

The only REAL outlier of recent times has been Weini Kelati---and it was ruled she wasn't eligible for Class Records her last year or 2 of HS!!

Also, here's something else from Dyestat if you want to make an apples-to-apples comparison:

I don't see Burrell matching Cooper in the 100, since he's more of a 200/400/800 type of athlete while Cooper is a 100/200/400 athlete. However, as you can see, he's already passed Cooper in the 400 (46.29 vs 46.44), with three months to go in the season.
