Ah, discussion of old vs. newer vs. still newer, etc. tables leads me to a sibling rivalry story:

    My older bro's 400 pr, from 1960, was 49.9 y h, which pretty much converts to 49.72.

My hj pr from 1965 is 1.97. He recently contended, looking at the current tables, that his 400 points were superior to my hj points. But I dug out the tables that were in effect in that 1960-1965 period, and back then, the hj got more points ! Thanks to the advent of the flop and better takeoffs, the hj got downgraded by the newer tables. So I say I WIN !

I agree, but your brother ran a 49.9 on dirt. I would give that better than face value currency today too.

My 1.97 was also on dirt. And the tables in effect at the time are the judge and jury.
