I guess this is a current event or it could be a non track issue however US hurdler Devon Allen suffered another knee injury tonight. Non contact injury but he grabbed at his knee which is wrapped in ice on the sidelines.

    Not good.

Hopefully football's loss is track and field's gain...for a change.

He should have quit football last year.

Crap. I hope he recovers and figures out that football is too dangerous.

I'm not sure exactly what a "non contact injury" is, but I'm guessing we have those in track as well.

I use to love football...so indifferent now. Allen could have a nice long career as a hurdler.

Football is a body killer. Look at Earl Campbell in a wheelchair...damn.

No human to human contact. His knee simply gave out.

Remarkable that he would jump right back into football. Easy to second guess that decision, at least for me. The tragedy for him is the likelihood he will be unable to progress in either sport.

The NFL minimum wage is $450,000. He'll never make that much as a hurdler, unless he collects a world record bonus.

The tragedy for him is the likelihood he will be unable to progress in either sport.
That is the really sad part. He could have gone pro as a hurdler this summer, but now he won't be able go pro in either sport until he recovers from this injury and proves himself again.

Very sad, great kid, mega talent. In looking back , the first acl injury 2 years ago , as a sophomore, likely made it impossible for him to ever reach his potential in the 110h. if instead he had just stayed on the track , he would have medalled in Rio and it probably would have been gold.
