    Teddy Tamgho announced his retirement.
French article, but essentially injuries put the nail in the coffin. I think it says he is already transitioning into coaching.

Absolutely no doubt in my mind that Teddy Tamgho would've broken the WR if he had stayed healthy. Supreme talent.

Yes, when he accelerated on the runway, it was a fantastic and exciting sight. He's one of the fastest.

I was reminded of Tamgho watching the cracking comp between Claye and Taylor from Paris last night and thinking there could have been a French guy who might have been beating them. Not surprised he's retired as it feels like a few years since he actually competed.

According to Google "fracture of the left ankle in 2011 followed by surgery for a bone outgrowth in 2012, fracture of the left tibia in 2014, rupture of the Achilles tendon in 2015 and to finish femur fracture in 2016."

Looks like his doctors told him this week that a comeback attempt would risk a recurrence of the Millrose cardiac incident. Deeply hope for a happy, healthy future for him.

And his future wife, who doesn't want to be a young widow, likely had a role in convincing him to retire.
