I am trying to help my alma mater recreate their record book. There are quite a few missing marks from the 70s that might still stand as records. The current coach has spoken with one of our coaches from the 70s but we are trying to get confirmation of some marks. Most would have been in the final top times/marks listings in T&FN. I've done some research on online newspapers but our local rag is missing Sunday editions that would have contained regional and state meet results. And I don't remember all the post season meets back then. I recall IPI, Golden South, Golden West. Anyone out there with their archive of high school annual editions from the 70s that could lend a hand? Thanks!!

Northeast High, St Petersburg, FL. I have a few in mind that I'd like to search the lists for and the marks we have or estimates:

1970 - Bobbie Brooks, 880, mile and two mile (1:54.8/4:09.7/9:24)

    1977 - Joe Wickline, discuss, 180' feet

    1978 - Andy Walker, 120 hurdles, 13.6

1979 - Andre Kirnes (might have been misreported as Kearnes), 120 hurdles, 13.76

    1983 - Charles Henry, discus, 186-8

I can confirm two of the marks so far (the other years were not readily available).

    1979 - Kirnes
    1983 - Henry

Kirnes was reported in High School Track as Kearns, with a mark converted to 110 meters as 13.79 by adding the conventional +0.03 to a 120y time.

Brooks 880 and 2M are too slow to make HS Track, but the 4:09.7 is correct.

Update: through a newspaper search that was easier to read, I confirmed our 120y hurdle record as 13.6 Andy Walker from 1977, not 1976 as stated above.
