I was sure T&FN had a combo 400/800 PR list somewhere but can not seem to find it.
Prompted by J. Warniers saying he is looking to run an 800 as an outdoor season opener of course.
He thinks he might go as short as 1:47/48 and thinks 1:50 is his happy/disappointed time.
I find no 600m marks for him at all on the data bases where I have access.
So is there a combo 400/800 list knocking about?
    thanks

A quick check of pela's lists, and these are the only ones that make both outdoor 400 and 800 lists.

    44.26 1:43.44 Alberto Juantorena
    44.59 1:43.20 Mark Everett
    45.11 1:43.07 Yeimer López
    45.03 1:43.76 Benyounčs Lahlou
    44.59 1:44.62 Hendrik Mokganyetsi
    44.92 1:44.83 Harald Schmid
    44.94 1:45.87 Simon Kemboi

I only spent a few minutes, so there may be weird altitude hand timed 400s that got dropped. I'll update if I get bored.

A healthy and committed Rudisha would easily top that list.
His third 200 during the Olympic 800 has me convinced that he can go 44 flat...at least.

Any list of 400/800 greats is a hollow shell without Arthur Wint and Tom Courtney.

Still hollow without Rudolf Harbig and Mal Whitfield. Harbig held both WR's simultaneously.

People who held 400/440 and 800/880 simultaneously (using best conversions only):

    Lon Myers, 7/17/1880-3/9/1888
    Ted Meredith, 5/27/1916-7/3/1926
    Ben Eastman, 6/4/1932-8/2/1932, 6/16/1934-7/11/1937
    Rudi Harbig, 8/12/1939-6/1/1946

    low-altitude/auto-timing addition:
    Alberto Juantorena, 7/29/1976-7/5/1979

Harbig's 1:46.6 at a time when the previous WR was 1:48.4 has always struck me as one of the most underrated performances ever (even if it did come on a 500m track).
