Yes, Alysia Montano actually showed up!
    Declared, qualified....and VERY pregnant!!

And, of course, with a flower in her hair!!

And she ran the third heat....and finished.
Don't know her time, but I think it was under 3:00!!

So yes, she WINS....the hearts and souls of everyone privileged to watch her!!

Yeah, what's up with that. Doesn't her occupying a lane keep someone else out?

    Oh man, lighten up!!
Who will remember who won each heat, or their times?
    No one!
Now tell me who's gonna be remembering---and talking about for YEARS-----that beautiful Flower Girl Mama-to-be----Alysia Montano!

I know for damn sure it's Alysia that I will be remembering!!!

What a fabulous show she put on.
And what she said to the crowd in the post-race interview is something I hope to God shows up on video.....so I can watch it a thousand times!!

    The lane she occupied??
I'm sooo very happy she did!!

She qualified so it doesn't keep someone else out because they didn't qualify.

Aside from Montano, who at 8 months into her pregnancy, ran 800 at a faster pace than Paula Radcliffe ran in her WR marathon race, this was a pretty good set of heats!

You had 6 running 2:01.97 or faster.
    And another 2 at 2:02.14 and 2:02.16!!

Hoping we see 3 or 4....or more??.....going under 2:00 in the final!
And I think Roesler can win it!!

Made Sportscenter daily Top Ten. Not everyday a 7.5 months pregnant woman competes in a national champs in any sport. Golf what's latest someone has played tourney pregnant. Tennis? Perhaps leads to some interesting sponsors for her.
