Be great to see Felix and SRR in the 400!
But picked just 3rd and 4th??

And will Rupp run both the 1500 and 5000, as listed?
That 5000 field is pretty strong.

    Cain picked just 5th?
Cain's coming back, and I'd pick her at least 3rd (behind Simpson & Rowbury, and/or Martinez!!

Wish Williams was in the Hept, but she's going for the WJC's, so can't do 2 Hepts in a week or so.
So I'll be rooting for Sami Spenner (for sweet revenge---F U, NCAA!!!!!).

This would end a pretty long streak of 10K track victories at USATF championship meets by Galen. I believe he has won them all from '09 to '13. With a streak like that, you almost have to see how long you can keep it going.

Manzano also has a good streak going with a top 3 finish in the 1500 every year from 2006 on (only one victory though). I think this is possibly better than Rupps streak since the 1500 has generally been a tougher event and a more difficult one to predict.

come to think of it, Symmonds has a similar streak in the 800 (with a lot of wins!), but won't extend it.

Interesting that Justin Gatlin is not going to be running despite his pretty much invincible form this year. (running a world lead earlier this week)

Why run though? Unless his sponsor requires him (I think Nike, Adidas, and some others do), there is no payoff vs running in Europe.

Rupp scratched in 1500, entered in 5k/10k

Bryshon Nellum in the 400 a bit of a surprise.

I don't see why he cant do both. There are tons of athletes who you could ask the same question for who are running at nationals. There may even be an incentive in his contract to win nationals.

There aren't tons of athletes in his position. He is, until someone steps and defeats him, the best 100-meter man in the world. He has beaten all these people and has been national champion before. He has little reason to run. I don't see why Merritt is running unless he's forced. There is no reason to prove for the 37th time that he can beat Josh Mance. Rest, train, get ready for round 2.
