Note that this is her first season running the 200m. She was a long jumper. Her first 200 was a 22.57 at Clermont this year.

.... Wow.... I jus didn't see that coming.... So she's going to switch to the 100/200 now? I mean a 22.1x puts you in practically every world or Oly women's 200 and in most cases gives you a medal.

Would her time been faster if she was in one of the outer lanes?

kind of like tianna madison- bartoletta, was mostly a long jumper who became a sprinter, also jearl miles-clark i believe was a triple jump NCAA (division 2) before becoming a 400 runner and american record holder at 800.

the jump athletes tend to be good all around athletes who can almost always sprint well, hurdle and do other sports pretty good.

I would not have predicted either of those.

So, is Fraser-Pryce injured or what? Any story on her non-performance?

The US seems to have some very good 200m sprinters at the moment...I still think Felix is and will continue to be the US's best 200m athlete until Rio.

With that said ..who on earth is this lady and she needs to start running some more 200m because she was flying off that bend from in lane 1. Ridiculous really ...looks very promising

Yet again Okagbare continues to disappoint me but maybe I'm being a tad too harsh
