Pretty good 1500, fast first lap, then slowish third and fast last lap in the first race. McNamara had something left after being boxed in.

Maggie Vessey is putting up some good times this season, after having an off season last year. Glad to see Brenda Martinez is heading to the Bahamas with some good speed.

Another late night for me in the Central Time zone but it's tough to miss those 5K races.

And it's great to hear Carrie Tollefson working this one.

Having streaming video is nice but the quality could be better...I'm having to use the "low" quality setting to keep things from freezing.

So with all of the heat, those 5000's gotta be worth at least 10-15 seconds faster, no?

I was on Medium quality feed and only froze up once (started watching in the last women's 800s). This race was going at 2:43/kilo [5:25/8:09/10:51+ so finished ~2:27] until speeding up with a couple laps to go (penultimate lap in 59 (and only really fast at 600) and then easily 55 to the finish, with Colis bidding his time until he sprung outside at 150 to go.

Thanks 26mi235 for starting this thread & posting these results. Now that we can watch some of these meets & get the results easily, it seems (to me, at least) that we sometimes have fewer threads on here for discussion. No doubt I'm wrong about that perception, but in any case, a few notes on some of these results -- I'm sure there are other things to note, but this is some of what I noticed:

    Dan Huling 8:17.00 -- He has run faster a couple of times -- 8:13.29 (2010) & 8:14.69 (2009), but not for a few years.

Vessey last ran sub-2:00 in 2012, when she ran 1:59.xx twice (but later in the season -- July & September). She ran 1:59.56 at Oxy in 2011, a season when she went on to run 1:58.xx 4 times (& also was 6th at WC). Hoping she's returning to that form.

Martinez -- I know she hasn't been at this event all that long, but this is her 10th sub-2:00 -- previous all from 2013 & a couple from 2012.

Van Buskirk 4:06.97 -- PB. Previous 4:07.36 from last year's WC sf.

    Pat Casey 3:35.95 -- ~4 second PB. Previous 3:40.04 (2013) & mile 4:00.86 (Drake, this year).

Hasay 15:29.63 -- ~5 second PB. Previous 15:34.35, from last month.

Willis 13:20.33 -- 7+ second PB. He doesn't race this distance much -- did a couple of them in 2012, but previous PB was 13:27.54 from NCAA Ch in 2005.

Greer looked good, as did Centro, Martinez, Vessey, Casey and McNamara. Huling ran well in Steeple; Kate Grace in the second heat of the women's 800. Rowbury kicked past Hasay as if the latter was rehearsing for a role on The Walking Dead. The 5k people do have an excuse with the heat but Rupp had little in the final 200.
