Oh how I hate to plug us again, but the Vols have a current Tennessee golfer at the Masters. Oliver Goss. The first active UT golfer at the Masters since '88 when Eric Rebman (sp) was runner-up in the US Amateur.

I was gettin' all pissy on our page because Oliver wasn't wearing UT uniform at Augusta. (We went down yesterday.) Instead, he had stuff with "Golf Australia" on. He's an Aussie. (BTW, interesting how the Aussies stick together.)

Someone said that it was against NCAA rules for collegians to wear their college colors at a pro event. I did not think that was right. Just last year, I think UT-Chattanooga golfer Steven Fox (US Amateur champ) had the Moc colors on during his first two rounds.

Also, in track and field, you always see college unis mixing with the pros at various events. Do you know the rules as far as golf?

I do not know the rules about college golfers and what they can wear outside of college competition. But it should be harder to police since golfers wear basically normal-type clothes. If I was playing what's to stop me from wearing a Duke blue shirt?

Great! Maybe we can become a golf school since track is not looking too promising.

Okla St golfer Jordan Niebrugge is wearing cap with college team logo today. I'm off to our board to claim victory in another internet argument.

Ouch! Yes, but I'm glad to see him doing well. I feel like we let him down.

Jenny Chuasiriporn. Great lady. She played the LPGA Tour for about 3 years and then returned to school and is now a nurse practitioner in cardiac surgery in the Richmond, VA area.
