It is if they say it is! They can even trademark it, I bet.

This has been noted on the Current Events MB, but it's worth noting here. It's the report of a street pole vault in Omaha a few days ago and it includes this:

Kendricks won with a clearance of 5.90 meters and Chris Nilsen finished in second place with 5.90 meters on countback.
The height that they cleared was actually 5.80, not 5.90.

Article by CNBC writer on Felix signing with Athleta. (bold mine)

As she stepped up to compete in a 400-meter run at the USA Track and Field Outdoor Championships in Des Moines, Iowa, she was decked out in Athleta’s Lightning crop top and running shorts made from a new SuperSonic fabric. She finished sixth, enough to qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

Aside from American Jim Ryun’s amazing 3:54.8 performance at the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City, Mexico (7,340), no other sub-4:00 mile has been recorded above 5,000 feet.
Did you know that they ran a mile in the 1968 Olympic Games? That's news to me.
