Craig Masback, ex miler for Princeton, former CEO for USATF, lawyer, was the guy in the middle. Hutchings was 4th in the LA 5000.

Hammond and Masback. With the customary NBC way of coverage, the announcers cannot save it or ruin it.
With their cameras there all the time, I cannot fathom why would they not provide a webcast for a fee, even if silent. I bet that all (most) of their DL customers would subscribe, perhaps even more.

So Ato Boldon, Dwight Stones and Lewis Johnson won't show up until the NBC broadcast.

Any word on if Carol Lewis does it this year?

Dwight was doing field(what little there was, primarily a Hammer wrapup), Lewis was doing infield interviews last night. Ato provided commentary for sprints only(I assume Masback/Hastings will just be around for distance races)

I am still in shock! My TV, the same one that usually shows the last 2 laps of most 10,000 and even cuts to the men's high jump during that, showed lap after lap after lap of the 10,000 races....I still cant believe it. I woke in the morn, had some coffee and replayed it to make sure I wasn't dreaming the whole meet.

Yes, Ato commented on the 100H and W 100. They also had a new face, a woman whose name I can't remember (of course), who did an interview with Dan O'Brien i/c/w the Decathlon coverage.

Masback actually correct Hutchings re the fact the Lisa Ulh (Koll) DID have the A standard.

They covered the 10Ks because there was nothing else going on at the time, although they did break away several times for "catch-up" coverage of some field events and the last five yards of Nick Symmonds' win in an 800 heat. Although there were considerable gaps in the race coverage, Hutchings did from time to time bring us up-to-date on the kilo times and what they meant, i.e. Ritz on pace for standard, W 10K runners not.
