    I fully understand and appreciate the rules that are being put in place for the safety of the players. What I object to, however, is when they decide to enforce the rules when the defensive player is already in the air and unable to stop. Apparently, they believe linebackers come equipped with air brakes (as on fighter jets), and the ability to physically react in less than a tenth of a second. Sure, call it a target, as the young man should not have allowed himself to get into that situation, but don't call it malicious.

    No matter how many movies from the Marvel Universe one watches, an airborne 20 year old will not be able to change is trajectory. :roll:

    The laws of physics say that he doesn't have to be airborne to be unable to avoid collision, just running full speed (20 m.p.h.) will do the trick.
