Bill proposes to cut unvaccinated kids off from government assistance in California: http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/fa...201920200AB283
Anti-vaxers tend to be more upper middle class, I don't know that this directly affects a huge number of people, but it does ultimately increase distrust of the government and drive families further to the extreme.

09-14-2019 04:49 PMIt works for everyone, the big city political machines can continue to flout public hygiene and sanitation laws and when outbreaks of disease occur due to their negligence they can blame the anti vax isolationist. Its a win-win!
Another win-win is the state allowing people to squat in national forests, basically making their residence in the woods. They can relax and recreate and start campfires and just ignore society. When they start a fire that wipes out a 1000 acres of forest the state can just spend a million dollars on an ad campaign perfectly designed to blame guys that own their own homes and trucks. They can create a fantasy story about a chance dropped chain off a truck bed that "caused a spark" that "set the forest ablaze". Yeah that will work, the state doesnt have to pay to manage the forests and they can blame a nameless truck driver for starting the fires, win-win!Last edited by user4; 09-15-2019 at 07:28 PM.

Yeah that is super gross.
But the article is correct that it is pretty unlikely anyone would actually get chickenpox that way. Even when kids are in the room together sharing fresh lollipops at a chickenpox party, the lollipop has a poor track record for spreading the disease.
