    From the Washington Post:

Headline: Dangerous new hot zones are spreading around the world

Some places are really getting mucked up by warming climate.

Wow, If only we had these measurements and models in 12000BCE. What we could have learned!

Has no one considered these localized hot spots may be related to deep seated thermal turmoil?
The earth is continually evolving. There is not a damn thing we can do about it.

No, but there are bad things that most scientists say are likely to happen within the next 100 years. Think about all of the things we take for granted today that were unimaginable 100 years ago. Perhaps within 100 years ago, we will be able to slow the earth's evolution in ways we can't imagine today. This could make a big difference in the lives of future generations, including some who are alive today. The fact that there isn't a damn thing we can do about it today shouldn't stop us from focusing on the issue and devoting resources to trying to do something about it in the future.

What does "mucked up" mean ? I like Earth, where I am, just the way she is, warm and hospitable. I dont like it much up in the Arctic, I can recall a Franklin expedition, where they got fooled thinking that the Arctic was a nice sea navigable place, and then Old Man winter gave a blow and he kept blowing for 7 seasons .. that really "mucked it up" for Franklin.

Yea, they know way too much, better to argue with pot smokers studying English or people with a degree in Political "Science".

Actually every great thing that I take for granted are mine in very large part because of carbon based fuels. Once you really look at it you come to realize that the civilization we have is due in large part to carbon fuel.

Yes, Id like to replace those carbon fuels with nuclear energy but it isnt likely that people are going to warm up to that idea until carbon fuels are depleted.
