A few times, nothing of note and I was not really into running by then, partly because I had no car (just a poor college student!) and I hated running around the SJSU area (flat, lots of cars). As I recall the Sunday runs were sponsored/arranged by Runners World mag, but my recall of those days is a bit defective.

My main athletic activity at that time was riding my bike up to Mt. Hamilton and back two/three times a week. Sometimes I would ride to Alum Rock Park and run in the hills there.

Like all subjects, if done right it can be a fantastic learning experience!

Right now Im in New England and let me tell you, I cant remember the last time early November invited Old Man Winter to blow cold right down my shirt collar like this.

Friends, Im feeling a real climate crisis and it hurts.

Im really dreading the next 4-5 months.

I am in NJ and some global warming In the winters might reduce the outflow of our residents to Florida - especially if we’d ever reduce our ridiculously high taxes.
