Watching the video - the question about the Empire ruled by Darius 1 and his son Xerxes 1 had the answer 'Persia.' What? I thought Jeopardy was more strict than that. I have never heard it called 'The Persia Empire' - 'First Persian Empire' yes, but that is a Greek non-technical usage but technically it is the 'The Achaemenid Empire.' Ok I guess it is getting more relaxed.

This cat has had his fifteen minutes and it's time for him to go. However we have a savant gambler in the drivers seat and I don't see how he loses unless he gets bored and decides to gamble it all at the wrong time. Don't see that happening.

He's completely personable less as well and thus a hard guy to root for and it's useless to drum up any emotion to hope he loses because he turns the game into a farce. I watch the show nightly but this may end that if this chap continues much longer.

It's syndicated so it could appear at different times on different stations in your local area than it might for me in mine. I get it at 7:30pm on the local CBS affiliate.

Thanks, must be CBS, huh?. My newspaper daily TV schedule is from 6PM-12pm and does not include Jeopardy.

Doubt it. Their ratings are through the roof while he's winning, which, though I'm sure the ad rates were set a year ago, will allow them to jack them up for next season.

The real travesty is that Alex Trebek 'only' gets $10,000,000 a year, while Judge Judy gets $147,000,000 (!!!!).

I love the judge but for the life of me just cant understand why they pay her so much.

The real travesty is that Alex Trebek 'only' gets $10,000,000 a year, while Judge Judy gets $147,000,000 (!!!!).

Judge Judy's annual pay is around $47 million, and that includes money from a second show she co-created called Hot Bench. The $147 million reported for 2018 includes a one-time sale of the library.

Last year she sold the rights to her Judge Judy’s 5,200-episode library, as well as future episodes of the show, to CBS for an estimated $100 million. Between that paycheck and the $47 million she gets for hosting Judge Judy and producing Hot Bench, Sheindlin took in triple her typical annual paycheck.
