  2. Re: ¶Pre '14—m800 (Amos 1:43.63 WL,MR; Rudisha 7th)

Good to see that Amos has given up his dejaying career and is back. Good to see Kaki back. Hopefully Rudisha returns close to his past form. And watch out for that new Kenyan Robert Biwott. This...

Re: World Relays to be in '14 and '15

I would skip the 4 X 200s and keep the 4 X 1500s; with a women's team and better-prepared men's team from Ethiopia, these would have been very good races. Without the 4 X 200s, maybe a Sprint Medley....

Re: World Relays to be in '14 and '15

A 4 X 5K road race would be a good addition especially now that road races are becoming almost as popular than track races.

Kenya vs Ethiopia vs USA would be a fierce competition with Kara...

Nassau has a population that is only one tenth the population of cities that typically host the WC. They therefore cannot fill huge stadiums. Considering that factor then one has to conclude that...
  6. Re: When it comes to drugs - US says F U to rest of the worl

What happened to Roy Jones was actually very commonplace in Olympic boxing. In most cases the victims were from obscure nations in Africa and Latin America.

There is a video of Iddi Amin telling...

    Kenya 5th : Decent performance for a non-sprint nation
  8. Re: When it comes to drugs - US says F U to rest of the worl

There should be no place in the sport for former cheats. These are people who contributed to killing the sport. And no its not the sanctimony that is killing the sport. Its the cheats. USA should...

Re: What does Joe Sixpack really want?

    ^^^^^^^^
None of what lionelp posted above has anything to do with whether the sport should use a team concept which is what Boond was talking about. It seems to have more to do with a person being...

Re: What does Joe Sixpack really want?

    Really ?
Some of you are making it look like Joe sixpack is such a doofus that he cannot understand what a sixth grader would understand. :P :P

Re: What does Joe Sixpack really want?

I agree that the IAAF should put more emphasis to the team aspect of competition. It would add to the drama just as it does in the NCAAs. The picture of the USA captain (such as Flanagan or Brenda) ...

Re: Finally a good Kenyan sprinter?

Kitur was phenomenal. His PB is faster than every European ever.

But Seraphino Antao annihilated the field in both the 100 and 200 at the commonwealth games. He is Kenya's greatest sprinter.

Re: What does Joe Sixpack really want?

Joe-Sixpack and Jenny-Greek-Yoghurt used to be riveted by the sport during the Olympics. That interest is waning. There is a huge blue elephant in the room that explains why

  15. Re: ¶Doha '14—w400H: Adekoya 54.59 (WL) out of lane 1

There is lots of potential in Nigeria but they have to defect to other countries to excel.

The 4 leading runners have been selected for Kenya's 4 X 1500m team. If they run together, that team could be awesome. Remember that Kipyegon ran 3:56 last year.

Re: breaking news in the Tyson Gay case? [broken]

For the sake of the sport, USADA needs to come clean and tell the public what is so valuable about the info they got that warrants leniency. Simply saying he cooperated will not cut it. This is yet...
