That was a very enjoyable contest. Two of my favorite contestants. Was rooting for both of them to perform really well, and for a reasonably close game, which it pretty much was.

Meanwhile, I am enjoying a moment in which Indiana is in the top 25 (coaches poll). :)

My impression is that these shoes are generally available, at least to top or better runners. (I am considering all of this family of "Vaporfly" models on Kipchoge's feet Saturday and those of Kosgei...

Nike wins ... fastest non-vaporfly (or whatever next gen of that) finishers were, I think, Emma Bates (ASICS) and Parker Stinson (Saucony?).

Kosgei 2:14:04 WR.

Kosgei 35-40km 15:57. 2:14:10 pace at 40km.

Kosgei 30-35 km 15:56.

She now has a good chance for a 2:13.

Kosgei 25-30km in 15:45. Now on 2:14 pace.

Kosgei' 5km splits, after the opening 15:28 , are (I think) - 16:00, 15:58, 16:01, 16:06. Still slightly over a minute ahead of WR pace at 25km.

Kosgei 1:06:59 half. After the very fast opening 5km, each subsequent 5km ~16 minutes.
