  1. Re: Paris DL: W 1500

Is this the first time two US women have run under four in the same race?
I do not recall it happening before.

Nope, look again. Oregon will not even consider it a school record.

    Re: a major coaching change

Nebraska is not up to the academic level of the other Big 10 schools, ie all the rest are in the AAU, Nebraska was embarrassingly voted out.

    Correct.
  7. Re: 2014 NCAA Men's Teams: Oregon 88 (MR), Florida 70

Amazingly, Arkansas won twelve outdoor titles since Oregon's 1984 championship.
  8. Re: 2014 NCAA: wSt—Sorna leads Q at 9:53.76

Perhaps for O'Conner, this will somewhat make up for her NCAA indoor mile performance, where she went from first to seventh in the last fifty meters or so.
  9. Re: 2014 NCAA: w10,000—Bates favored

Did he have anyone other than last year's third placer in the women's 10,000m qualify?
  10. Re: ¶2014 NCAA: m10,000—Cheserek (Oregon) 28:30.18

    True, but born in Somalia.

    Re: Rupp related trivia question

Rupp graduated from HS in '04, his 3000 best is from 2010 outdoors and 2013 indoors. His 5000 PB is from 2012, so six, nine and eight years, not ten or more.

Good job on Trammell, HS '97 and PB...

    Rupp related trivia question

Besides Rupp in the 10,000m, are there any other males on the U.S. All-Time Top 10 High School list that have set PBs in the same event ten or more years after making the high school list?

    I think...

Re: Edward Cheserek competing at Payton Jordan?

Lalang's CR in the mile didn't help him much at the NCAA indoor meet. The previous two CR holders of the indoor men's mile also failed to win at the NCAAs. Cheserek's coaches are likely focusing on...

  24. Re: ¶2014 iNCAA: w800—Laura Roesler (Oregon) 2:03.85

Comments about how early it is in the season strike me as odd considering she was competing at the NCAA indoor meet a few weeks ago. Her fitness level has probably not changed much in three weeks.
  25. Re: 2014 NCAA Outdoor Regional Qualifying Standards

To get to the national meet, the athletes qualify through a preliminary championship meet, there are no "regional" meets. The top 48 qualify for the preliminary meet. Information is on the NCAA.com...
