Surging Oregon Slips By The Longhorns

Robert Johnson's Ducks had a very good weekend and a rereading of the tea leaves now shows Oregon moving past Texas in the battle for the national women's team title.

Improved sprint power was the key as Oregon added 8 points to its projection, while Texas dropped by 6. So what was a 10-point margin for Texas is now a 4-point margin for Oregon. Texas A&M also climbed by 5, putting the Aggies clearly in striking distance.

There are 3 new event leaders this week and each had an effect on the top end of the team scoring: Jenna Prandini (Oregon) 100, Oregon 4x1, Texas 4x4.
