Arkansas Moves Up, Oregon Down

Harter Lance Ark wHead coachOur formchart of 2 weeks ago had Arkansas and Oregon tied for the No. 1 spot at 53, with Texas 3rd at 50. It has been an informative half-month, with the Hogs adding a point, the Ducks dropping 3 and Texas adding 3, meaning that Lance Harter’s Arkansas crew is now a point ahead of Texas, with Oregon another 3 back.

Oregon has one significant advantage, which is being able to defend its national title in the friendly confines of Hayward Field.

And as currently construed it will come down to the last event, where if this formchart by some miracle held true, the score going into the climactic 4x4 would be Arkansas & Oregon 49, Texas 43. Obviously, that race would mean everything to each 3 of the teams.

Oregon would seem to have the most bodies to play with. Currently, 11 Ducks are slated to score in 8 events, compared to just 10 in 8 events for Texas and 9 in 7 for Arkansas.

Texas is formcharted for 3 event wins, Oregon for 2 and Arkansas for 1.
