Better yet, it's a new WJR, both indoor and absolute, although not the best ever by a junior (that would be Terry Albritton's indoor 21.05)

Bukowiecki 20.46 in EIC qualifying!!!

BMI would be a better metric, though by no means perfect.

So a feature of this sort covering the period 1970s - now would be more useful to you. You might actually learn something you don't remember :-P

I thought we were talking about 2017? There's no WIC in that year.
The Czech men's relay has a total of individual times of 3:04.71, which potentially brings them within reach of the WR. And the Poles are not far behind at 3:05.44 (with more to come, I believe), so...
Konrad Bukowiecki and Ewa Swoboda are both 17. The former is a long shot (pun not intended) to make the final, but the latter has a good chance of making it. The way she's been improving lately, she...
Adam Kszczot has withdrawn from the EIC due to illness :( which makes Marcin Lewandowski the favorite for the 800 title :)
Piotr Lisek improved his NR again to 5.90 in Bad Oeynhausen yesterday.
Anna Rogowska unexpectedly announced her retirement. The last couple of years haven't been great for her, but she kept on...
Piotr Lisek finished 2nd behind Lavillenie in Malmo with 5.85, and had 3 failures at 5.92. Robert Sobera cleared only 5.55 and placed 6th.

He's actually competing more than once per week. In fact, he's now done 13 competitions since the start of the indoor season!

Just in case it escaped anyone attention, Bukowiecki set another NJR with 20.02, finishing 3rd at the nationals last weekend (I believe that makes him the 10th junior ever to go over 20 under any...
The Polish EIC team is the largest in history, with 45 athletes. And a pretty strong one, too; I would be disappointed with anything less than 8 medals. A couple of athletes were added to the team...
Yes, he was a very clear no. 1, against the weakest opposition in living memory. No. 2 in the world list was 5.83.
The real question is whether he can vault as high outdoors. Last summer was a big anticlimax after his indoor exploits.
Results from day 2:
1 Karol Zalewski 20.66 PB
1 Zalewski 46.25 PB (45 mins after the 200 final!)
2 Rafał Omelko 46.28 PB
3 Łukasz Krawczuk 46.54
Jakub Krzewina DNS
More results from day 1 in Toruń:
1 Kamila Lićwinko 2.02 WL NR (stopped after 1 failure at 2.04)
2 Justyna Kasprzycka 1.92
3 Urszula Gardzielewska 1.92
1 Piotr Lisek 5.80 (had two...
But the ATFS annual lists athletes who are on the current year's world lists, not the all-time lists.
How is it a double standard to state the facts, i.e. that she runs faster indoors than out? People here made the same kind of comments on Lavillenie last year, noticing that his outdoor form was...
So he changed his birth date along with the citizenship?

From my point of view, having separate team classifications for men and women worked just fine at the European and World Cups, and no, I never found it too hard to follow. And those competitions had...

Obviously they will change twice as fast as they do now

Are you saying T&F fans are dumber than soap opera viewers?
There were only 7 events on the program of today's Pedro's Cup in Łódź, but they produced 3 WLs. Ewa Swoboda set two more NJRs, and Dominik Bochenek qualified for the EIC

Maksimava certainly can, but Lake's score of 4419 may not be enough to qualify her for the EIC. Seven women qualify on the basis of 2015 scores, and she's currently sixth on the list, with a week...
